Introduction

The Gasp ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Chat content you submit. When you choose to analyze a conversation, you upload a chat export (e.g., a WhatsApp export file) or screenshots. This happens only when you initiate it — we never access your messages otherwise.

Analysis context. Answers you provide before an analysis (e.g., type of relationship), used only to shape your report.

Usage and diagnostics data. How you navigate the app (screens visited, features used) and crash reports, linked to a random account identifier. Screens containing your chat content and reports are masked and excluded from this collection.

How We Use Chat Content — AI Analysis

To generate your report, the text of your submitted chat is transmitted securely (encrypted in transit) to our servers and to Anthropic PBC, the provider of the Claude AI model, which performs the analysis. Anthropic processes this data under its commercial terms, provides data protection equivalent to ours, and does not use your data to train AI models. Your chat content is used solely to generate your report and for no other purpose.

Data Retention and Deletion

Uploaded chat files are deleted from our servers once your report is generated. Your generated reports remain private to your account. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from the app's settings.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit, to protect your data.

Third-Party Services

• Anthropic (Claude AI) — chat analysis, as described above.
• Supabase — secure hosting, authentication, and storage.
• PostHog — product analytics and session diagnostics; receives usage data only, never your chat content or reports.
• Sentry — crash and error reporting; screen content is masked in error reports.
• RevenueCat — subscription management; receives purchase information only, never your chat content.

Each of these providers processes data under its own commercial terms and provides data protection equivalent to ours.

Children's Privacy

The Gasp is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
